Timber Bolts
Hot dipped galvanized and stainless steel timber bolts, with their large round head, eliminate the need for a washer under the head of the bolt. Rings under the head prevent water from entering the bolt hole and fins under the head bite into the wood to keep the bolt from spinning while the nut is being tightened. Hot dipped galvanized timber bolts meet ASTM A-307 for strength and ASTM A-153 for the hot dipped galvanized finish. Stainless steel timber bolts are available in type 316 stainless steel.
